Ida Issadore Boughner Marries A Different Man

This next post was suppose to move on to recount Ida's death and burial, however, since my last post I have received a marriage record that confirms the fact that Ida married a different man after her marriages and divorces from John T.R. Ladd. I had found this marriage reference in an online index of Oklahoma Court Records at this link: http://www1.odcr.com/search.php I had found a reference of an Ida I. Ladd who married an Ephriam Turner Beatty on 5 May 1927 in Sapulpa, Creek County, Oklahoma. So, I sent to the Creek County Court Clerk and requested a copy of the original marriage record. The record arrived and after reviewing it, I was certain that this was my Ida Issadore (Boughner)(Debolt) Ladd. The marriage record lists Ida's age as 64 years old and that would be the correct age for her since she was born 5 August 1864. Not to mention that there was only 1 Ida I. Ladd living in the Creek County area at this time that would have fit the age on the marriage record and that is my great-great-grandmother.

I do not believe that this marriage lasted very long and they most likely divorced sometime between 1927-1930 since Ida is listed in the 1930 Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio census in the household of her daughter and son-in-law, listed as Ida I. Ladd and a widow. I have found that Ephriam Turner Beatty died 3 August 1938, so she was not his widow but most likely they were divorced. So, a search for their divorce record will have to be done.

I am attaching the image of the marriage record for Ida and Ephriam. Just when you think you have an ancestor figured out, they surprise you!
